We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate addiction counselor to join our growing team at Colorado Treatment Services, Colorado’s premier opiate addiction treatment facility. Position Summary: This position is for an addiction counselor at an outpatient substance abuse program. Counselor will be an integral part of a treatment team that delivers therapeutic services and medication-assisted treatment services, under one roof. Addiction Counselor will be responsible for providing direct counseling services, assessments/intakes, and group facilitation, using evidence-based treatment practices and a person-centered approach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:  Clinical documentation and record-keeping in compliance with state and federal regulations; knowledge and use of ASAM-PPC2 and DSM-5; cultural competence; confidentiality and HIPPA compliance, and must demonstrate appropriate knowledge of and compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations for OMAT programs.

Job Standards/Minimum Qualifications: Four-year degree in counseling or related field; valid license/certification with DORA.

Job Standards/Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Degree in Counseling field (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Certified Addiction Counselor II or III;
  • Licensed Addiction Counselor;
  • Licensed Clinician working towards obtaining addiction certification; OR
  • Masters-Level Clinician, Registered Psychotherapist, working towards obtaining addiction certification

Must have a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID and must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Must be eligible to provide Medicaid services

  • 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday
